A note on sustainability at Kidbrook

Sustainability in housebuilding is easily reduced to a sticker on a brochure. We prefer to think about it as a long list of small, unglamorous decisions that add up — the insulation detail at a window reveal, the choice between two bricks, the extra afternoon spent on a drainage plan.

Our current developments include air source heat pumps, solar panels, and electric vehicle charging points as standard. That is the visible part. The less visible part — fabric-first construction, responsibly specified materials, mature trees retained where possible, biodiversity features written into the landscape plan — is where most of the real work happens.
